David Threlfall

Chief of Staff : ANZSOG

David Threlfall is Chief of Staff at the Australia and New Zealand School of Government. He is passionate about the craft of government and political communication.
Prior to joining ANZSOG, David worked for four years in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office at the University of Melbourne. During this time he worked across a diverse portfolio in support of the
Vice Chancellor, Professor Glyn Davis, spanning public policy research, speechwriting, communications, and academic editing and publishing.
Previously, David held a position in the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, and undertook research work for the Victorian Parliament. David was educated at the University of Melbourne, completing a Bachelor of Arts (with First Class Honours) in Political Science and French, and a Diploma of Languages in German. His writing on policy and political affairs has been published in The Mandarin, The Herald Sun, Pursuit, Election Watch, and with academic publisher Nature in the Science of Learning Community.
